The Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called for international pressure on Turkey to cease its attacks against Kurds in northern Syria.

“The international community must urge Turkey to stop these attacks and killings. The Kurds must be protected by the international community,” Eden Bar stated to journalists.

This statement comes a day after Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued new threats against the Kurds in Syria.

“If necessary,” he said, “we will come suddenly in the night,” he remarked emphatically.
