On Thursday, Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen will meet with the leaders of the country’s parliamentary parties, in the wake of Donald Trump’s comments threatening the annexation of Greenland.
According to government sources, Frederiksen will update the leaders on “the measures that have been taken” following the provocative statements made by the elected U.S. president, just days before officially taking office.
“The meeting with the party leaders gives us the opportunity to share the measures taken by the government in recent days,” said Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen to reporters. The Prime Minister’s office confirmed to Agence France-Presse that the meeting will take place at 20:30 Greek time.
