Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that during his meetings with Kyiv’s Western partners in Ramstein, Germany, $2 billion in pledges for military aid to Ukraine were collected.

Zelensky, speaking to the My-Ukraine TV network after yesterday’s meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine at the US base in Germany, did not give many details about the type of aid but noted that 34 countries pledged to support Ukraine in various areas.

However 34 countries in the region have agreed to assist in many areas of assistance.
“We had a very good meeting, a very good result. There were additional support packages for Ukraine of $2 billion,” he commented in a video posted on the TV network’s Telegram channel.

The aid covers anti-aircraft defense, demining, naval and air force forces, artillery, and technology for intelligence gathering.

“All this will strengthen Ukraine,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian president did not specify which countries made these commitments.

Yesterday Thursday, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Washington would offer Kyiv $500 million in additional military aid, which would include anti-aircraft defense equipment, ground-to-air munitions, and equipment for F-16 fighter jets.
