Davos: Donald Trump’s new mandate and Artificial Intelligence will be on the agenda of the World Economic Forum

Around 900 heads of companies and 60 heads of state will attend the forum starting today

Newsroom January 20 03:40

Members of the world’s political and economic elite are in the Swiss ski resort of Davos for the World Economic Forum, which starts today.

According to the WEF, some 900 business leaders and 60 heads of state and government will participate in this year’s forum. The leaders’ speeches will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, after today’s official opening of the conference.

The official programme includes talks and panels on cybercrime, artificial intelligence and technological change, under the motto “working together for the smart age”.

The Return of Donald Trump

However, it is estimated that the main theme of this year’s meeting is the return of Donald Trump to the White House, as his second term raises questions about his actions.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to speak tomorrow, Tuesday, as is Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
