Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, is heading to the United States of America, where he will hold meetings with military, civilian, and homeland security officials.
Among other things, the National Defense Secretary will visit the Fort Sill Army Base in Oklahoma, which specializes in anti-aircraft air defense and countering and neutralizing UAVs.
As protothema.gr reported, unmanned aerial vehicles are a key priority of the country’s new Armed Forces Structure going forward.
Dendias will then travel to Chicago, where he will have a meeting with His Eminence Metropolitan Nathaniel of Chicago, visit the KORAES Homogeneous School and meet with Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias.
Also in Chicago, the Minister of Defense will participate and address the ceremony honoring David Harris, former CEO of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), which is co-sponsored by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) and the Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC). The event will take place at the National Hellenic Museum.
Mr. Dendias will also participate in a panel discussion organized by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, which will be moderated by Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC) Executive Director Eddie Zemenides.
