The Greek Foreign Ministry has responded to North Macedonian Prime Minister Christian Mitskoski, who yesterday in remarks from New Jersey referred to “the Macedonian issue” which is “unresolved”.
The statement by the Greek Foreign Ministry:
“In his statements in New Jersey, USA, the Prime Minister of North Macedonia spoke of an “unresolved and existing Macedonian issue”.
That is a provocation for Greece and an attempt to bring back an issue that has been definitively and irrevocably resolved. Greece recalls that further progress in its bilateral relations with North Macedonia and in the latter’s European perspective requires full respect for the Prespa Agreement and abstention from irredentist declarations and claims against neighboring countries.”
