The Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, explains in a social media post how the electronic ticket issuance service for EOPYY pharmacies operates, highlighting that the goal is to enhance service for insured individuals.
Beneficiaries can use the designated website to locate the pharmacy that offers the required medication, select the appropriate pharmacy, and electronically receive their ticket.
Mr. Georgiadis explains that the service does not require login credentials and, among other features, displays the pharmacies where the selected medication is available, the number of tickets currently in the queue, and provides real-time tracking of the progress in the priority sequence.
Access to the service is expected to become even more convenient, as a mobile-friendly version is set to be released soon.
Detailed post by Mr. Georgiadis:
To facilitate access to EOPYY pharmacies, a service has been implemented that allows users to obtain information and issue tickets electronically, aiming to improve service for all citizens. Beneficiaries, on the day they wish to visit one of EOPYY’s pharmacies, can locate the pharmacy offering the required medication via the website https://eticket.eopyy.gov.gr. After selecting the appropriate pharmacy, they can proceed with the “Ticket Issuance” option, completing the process to electronically receive a ticket, ensuring better service.
The service does not require login credentials and offers the following features:
• Display on a map of the pharmacies where the medication sought by the insured individual is available.
• Display of the medications available at each pharmacy, in cases where all required items are not available at a single location.
• Display of the number of tickets currently in the queue at each pharmacy and an estimate of the current waiting time.
• Option to select a pharmacy and issue a ticket.
• Receipt of the ticket in PDF format with the option to print it.
• Real-time tracking of the priority queue’s progress at the pharmacy via the code included in the ticket.
Soon, access to the application will become even easier, as a specially designed version for mobile phones will be released.
