Journalist Iasonas Triantafyllidis has died

He had been having health problems lately

Iasonas Triantafyllidis passed away at the age of 61.

The well-known journalist and critic of cinema and television had been facing health issues.

His Career

Jason Triantafyllidis began writing in newspapers and magazines in 1985. He hosted programs on radio, television, and in recent years, online.

He contributed articles to Efimerida ton Syntakton and youfly.com. He also hosted a daily afternoon show on the radio station Athens 9.84 titled “Athens, Can You Hear Me?”

He curated re-releases of old material on CDs for actors and singers such as Aliki Vougiouklaki, Jenny Vanou, Sophia Vembo, Marinella, Tolis Voskopoulos, Yiannis Spartakos, and the complete music of Nikos Mamangakis for cinema. He also created special tributes to the history of music in Greek cinema, among other projects.

He authored more than twenty books on the history of Greek cinema, music, musicals, and biographies of figures from the arts, particularly the Greek film industry.
