Athens Stock Exchange: Small retreat ahead of the ECB decision

Investors are holding back - Stocks are trading at a low tempo abroad

Shares prices recorded a slight retreat at the opening of today’s Stock Exchange session, amid a mild upward move on major European bourses in anticipation of the ECB’s interest rate decision.

The General Price Index at 11:00, was at 1,542.16 points, down 0.25%.

The value of transactions amounts to 4.39 million euros.

The high-cap index is down 0.27%, while the mid-cap index is marginally down 0.05%.

Among the high-cap stocks, the biggest rises are recorded by Sarantis (+1.27%), Elvalhalcor (+0.71%) and Coca-Cola HBC (+0.66%).

On the contrary, the biggest decline is recorded by the shares of OPAP (-0.95%), EYDAP (-0.51%), and Ethniki (-0.45%).

40 stocks are moving up, 35 down and 13 remain stable.
