Member states of the World Health Organization (WHO) will discuss partially cutting its budget by $400 million after President Donald Trump‘s move to withdraw the US, its largest government funder, from it, according to a document released today.
Opening the organization’s annual executive board meeting, WHO’s general secretary Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said he also hoped there would be dialogue with the US.
He said the WHO is positive to suggestions from the US, and other countries, on how best to serve global health.
