The Chinese government announced today that it will soon impose additional tariffs of 15% on imported coal and liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States. These measures come as retaliation for Washington’s decision to apply an additional 10% tariff on all Chinese products imported into the US market without exception.
The newly announced tariffs from Beijing will take effect on Monday, February 10.
A 10% tariff will also be imposed on imported American oil, as well as various other product categories, according to China’s Ministry of Commerce.
