Voridis: The government will say “yes” to the preliminary inquiry on Christos Triantopoulos

As long as the relevant request, expected to be submitted by PASOK, aligns with the case file already in Parliament

Newsroom February 5 09:00

Minister of State Makis Voridis announced that the government majority will support the proposal for a preliminary inquiry into Christos Triantopoulos, provided that PASOK’s request falls within the framework of the existing case file in Parliament.

Responding to PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis, who had earlier announced the submission of the proposal, Voridis stated:

“From your remarks, I understand that your proposal will be in line with the prosecutor’s ruling. In that ruling, the prosecutor calls for criminal prosecution for the offense of breach of duty, which is a misdemeanor. We reiterate what the Prime Minister has already said. We affirm that the process will indeed move forward. Because we care just as much as you do—perhaps even more—to fully understand what has happened.”
