Nikolaos De Grèce, and Chryssi Vardinoyanni are married – The couple celebrates with their guests at the wedding reception – Video and photos

The ceremony is expected to begin any minute - Strict security measures in the church as the couple has decided to keep the ceremony in a closed circle

Newsroom February 7 05:14

Wedding Party for the Happy Couple and Their Few Guests

The wedding party of Nikolaos De Grèce and Chryssi Vardinogianni is also “closed” and held under strict measures, following their wedding today (07/02) at the Church of Agios Nikolaos Ragkavas in Plaka. The number of guests at the reception at Castor Place in Piraeus does not exceed 75, while only 50 attended the church ceremony.

The happy couple arrived first to welcome their guests to the venue they chose to celebrate their union. The bride looked radiant in a wedding dress by designer Costarellos and the impressive Antique Corsage Tiara of former Queen Anne-Marie. She chose not to make any statements to the press. Meanwhile, Nikolaos De Grèce, smiling, simply mentioned that Chryssi Vardinogianni followed tradition and stepped on his foot.

It is worth noting that their wedding followed the Byzantine ritual, with crowns instead of wreaths, in an intimate ceremony, while the church was unadorned.

Reception to Follow in Piraeus

The wedding party will take place at Castor Place, an event venue located in the industrial zone of Piraeus, surrounded by warehouses, art galleries, and restaurants. The space is characterized by stone architecture and high ceilings, creating a unique atmosphere.

The building has three floors, with the ground floor spanning 230 square meters, commonly hosting private parties, corporate events, and other gatherings.

The Ceremony is Underway

Nikolaos De Grèce and Chrysi Vardinoyannis are getting married at this moment at Agios Nikolaos Ragkavas in Plaka. The ceremony is in progress, with no more than 50 guests present in the church.

The bride’s stunning veil, Chryssi Vardinoyanni chose a gown in nude undertones, embroidered with Swarovski crystals, high-necked, and featuring short sleeves. Her hair was styled in a loose updo, adorned with a tiara and a long, truly impressive veil.

The bride, Chryssi Vardinoyanni, has just arrived, accompanied by her father, Giorgios.

Chryssi Vardinoyanni arrived at the church wearing a stunning, straight-line wedding gown with a romantic touch. The bride was only five minutes late, looking visibly happy and radiant.

The bride’s arrival is expected at any moment.

The groom’s sister, Alexia De Grèce , arrived with her husband, Carlos Morales, and their daughters.

Alexia Antsakli Vardinoyanni arrived with her children.

Princess Benedikte of Denmark, and her daughter Alexandra

Pavlos and Marie-Chantal arrived at the church hand in hand with their children.

Theodora de Grèce has also arrived.

Giannis Vardinoyannis arrived at the church with his wife, Melissa Grommel.

Wedding guests continue to arrive at the church.

The bride’s mother, Agapi Politi, has also arrived at the church.

The bridesmaids have arrived at the church.

The bride’s aunt, Sasha Vardinoyanni, has also arrived at the church.

The first guests have already arrived at the church.

Among the guests are Olga Kefalogianni and Maria Gryllaki, who are cousins of Chryssi Vardinoyanni.

Nikolaos De Grèce is getting married today (07/02) to Chryssi Vardinoyanni at the church of St. Nicholas Ragava in Plaka.

The ceremony is expected to begin in a few hours, under tight security, as the couple has chosen to keep the ceremony private, avoiding the noise caused by the publicity of their relationship and the former royal family’s official announcement of the wedding.

Just 45 guests will be in the church, where the son of former King Constantine and the daughter of George Vardinoyannis and Agapi Politis will formalise their relationship.

The ceremony is attended by their families and a few close friends, of course, and apart from the groom’s aunts, Princesses Sophia and Irene, and his brothers and sisters, the high arrivals from royal houses in Europe are extremely limited.

The only royal element of the ceremony is the crowns that will be used in the sacrament. The father of the bride Giorgos Vardinoyannis, who will be the best man, has been tasked with the couple’s wedding rings, and the groom’s brother, Pavlos for the vows.

Although their relationship has been a common secret in social circles for the past few months, the wedding came suddenly, just seven months after they started dating.

The secret reception

What has made a particular impact is the complete secrecy surrounding the wedding reception. None of the guests initially knew the exact venue where the reception would be held.

They were informed by phone that the place where it will be held is Castor Place, in Piraeus.

The dinner at “Grande Bretagne” and the pre-wedding party at Koukaki

Yesterday (06/02) in the evening the pre-wedding party took place at the restaurant “Vulkanizater” in Koukaki and was preceded by a dinner at the hotel “Grande Bretagne” where the close relatives of the couple and blue blood such as Princess Benedikte of Denmark, and her daughter Alexandra were present.
