Trump: attack on Reuters, Politico and New York Times – “Give back the millions”

The US president has demanded that Reuters return $9 million that he received, according to Elon Musk's department, from the US Department of Defense

Newsroom February 13 04:57

Donald Trump launched an attack on Reuters and other international media outlets via the Truth Social platform, citing reports made by Elon Musk about the actions of the newly created Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE).

Specifically, the US president demanded that the agency return $9 million in money it received from the US government, particularly from the Department of Defense, to defraud its audience.

“DOGE: It appears the radical leftist Reuters received $9 million from the Department of Defense to launch “social deception” on a grand scale.” Give it back now!” wrote Trump.

However, he didn’t stop there. He made similar claims (without mentioning amounts) for Politico and the New York Times, which he called “dying.”

“Why did Politico get millions of dollars for nothing? For buying media? Give the money back to the taxpayers! How much did they pay the dying New York Times? That money is keeping them alive…” the Republican president wrote in another post.
