Elon Musk broke his silence a day after an influencer claimed he gave birth to his baby five months ago – responding to an X post that implied he had been planning for half a decade to have his child.

Author Ashley St. Clair, 31, went public in a post on X that she and the mogul have had a child together, who is 5 months old.

“Five months ago, I brought a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I had not previously disclosed this to protect the privacy and safety of our child, but in the last few days, it is clear that the tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the damage it will cause. I intend to allow our child to grow up in a normal and safe environment. For this reason, I ask the media to respect our children’s privacy and not write about this issue. I wish I didn’t feel the need to make a statement. Journalists should not be concerned with children. I’m going to focus on my family and disconnect for a while,” St. Clair wrote.

“Ashley and Elon have been working privately to create a parenting agreement for some time now,” Brian Glicklich, the author’s spokesman, wrote in a post on X.

“It is disappointing that a tabloid journalist who repeatedly ambushed Ashley and her family made it impossible for this process to be completed in confidence. We expect Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley to end the unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to complete their agreement quickly, in the best interest of their child’s well-being and safety.”

“Wow,” Musk wrote on X, which he owns, in response to a post he claimed: “Ashley St. Clair planned for HALF A DECADE to frame Elon Musk.”

St. Clair then responded by slamming the richest man alive for publicly responding to “slander.”

“Elon, we’ve been trying to communicate for the last few days and you haven’t responded. When are you going to answer us instead of publicly responding to slander from a person who just posted pictures of me in my underwear at 15 years old?” he wrote a few minutes later.

Musk has 12 other children with three other women.

The South African Tesla founder shares five children with his first wife Justine Wilson – first having twins Vivian and Griffin and then triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian.

Pop star Grimes and Musk share three children, including little X, seen with his father around the White House, girl Exa Dark Siderael and boy Techno Mechanicus.

Musk and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis also share twins, Strider and Azure. The entire family attended Thursday’s meeting with Indian Prime Minister Modi.
