Air traffic controllers have announced that they will participate in the 24-hour strike declared by ADEDY for February 28.
According to an official statement, “The Board of Directors of the Hellenic Air Traffic Controllers’ Association calls on its members to join the 24-hour strike organized by ADEDY on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 00:01 to 24:00.”
During the strike, only the following flights will be served to cover essential societal needs, as stated in the announcement:
- Flights overflying the Athens FIR.
- Flights transporting Heads of State and Prime Ministers.
- Hellenic Air Force flights involved in operational missions and scheduled exercises.
- Flights of aircraft facing unusual situations or in a state of emergency.
- Medical flights.
- Humanitarian aid flights.
- Search and rescue aircraft flights.
