In accordance with standard procedure, Thessaloniki Metro temporarily suspended operations today at 11:35 a.m. along Line 1 to conduct a precautionary inspection after a signal from the Control Center indicated an issue related to the readiness of the backup system, according to the metro’s operating and management company, “Thema.”

Service was fully restored by 12:45 p.m. During the temporary suspension, all passengers disembarked safely and in an orderly manner at the station platforms.
