The head of the Athens Prosecutor’s Office, Aristeidis Koreas, has ordered a criminal investigation following social media posts that incite violence on the day of the demonstrations marking two years since the Tempi tragedy.
Specifically, as part of the preliminary inquiry, the prosecutor has instructed the cybercrime division to identify the users responsible for these posts.
The offense under investigation in this preliminary examination is that of incitement to commit criminal acts.
It should be noted that for Friday (28/02), GSEE and ADEDY have declared a 24-hour nationwide strike, while marches have been scheduled across the country to commemorate the two-year anniversary of the Tempi disaster.
