ENFIA 2025 payment: Countdown for the statements – 31 March is the first installment due

This year, ENFIA 2025 will be paid in 12 installments, with discounts for properties insured against natural disasters - Expected tax clearances on taxisnet and payments close to 2.3 billion euros

Newsroom March 2 10:31

The process of clearing this year’s ENFIA, which will be paid in 12 monthly installments, has begun with the temporary closure of the platform for corrections and changes to the 2025 E9 by the AADE. This year, tax payments start a month earlier, with the first installment due by the end of March and the last by the end of February 2026. However, there will be no discounts on the amount, even if the payment is made in one installment.

ENFIA 2025: New tax statements are coming – Who (very few) will see reductions

Instead, this year there are discounts of 10% to 20% for taxpayers who have insured their properties for natural disasters such as earthquake, fire and flood, with a minimum insurable amount of 900 euros per square meter. Beneficiaries of this discount are expected to reach 250,000 this year, 35,000 more than last year.

However, despite the incentive of double the discount for properties with a value of up to 500,000 euros, the increase in insured homes is not significant. Hundreds of thousands of homeowners, although they have insured their homes, do not qualify for the discount, as they do not cover all three required coverages for flood, fire and earthquake.

Currently, there are 1.1 million insured homes out of a total of 6.3 million properties, but only 250,000 of them qualify for the rebate. Those who qualify will receive a 20% discount for properties with a property value of up to 500,000 euros, while for properties of higher value the discount remains at 10%. In addition, in case of natural disasters, property owners without insurance are not entitled to compensation.

For low-income taxpayers, the deduction reaches 50%, while full exemption can be claimed by those who own properties in areas affected by natural disasters, subject to certain income requirements.

The ENFIA statements are expected to be posted on the taxisnet platform within the first ten days of March, with the total amount for some 7 million property owners estimated to be close to €2.3 billion this year as well.
