Donald Trump made a meaningful statement regarding Europe and his stance on Russia, Putin and the domestic situation in the US a few hours after the London summit on Ukraine.
Sticking to his immigration policy, the US president called via a post on Truth Social for less concern with Putin and more concern with immigrants who rape, sell drugs and murder. As he said, this is what Americans should do “so we don’t end up like Europe.”
The change in Trump’s approach to the war and Russia was most emphatically reflected in the way he addressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in front of reporters at the White House.
The unprecedented public brawl resulted in Zelensky leaving the White House without signing the rare earths deal.
Trump’s shift on Putin has raised alarm bells across Europe as well as in the US Democratic Party, which has expressed “national security concerns”.
