Ministry of Finance: Exemption from ENFIA for properties in earthquake-affected areas of Crete

The relevant provision will be included in the bill of the Ministry of Economy and Finance entitled "Strengthening the Capital Market"

Exempt from paying Unified Real Estate Ownership Tax – ENFIA and for the year 2025, the owners of properties which have been classified as a) “dangerous or unsuitable for use” or b) “dangerously dilapidated” in the areas affected by the earthquakes that occurred on 24 July 2021 and 27 September 2021 in Crete.

The relevant provision will be included in the bill of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance entitled “Strengthening the Capital Market” which will be submitted to the Parliament for voting in early April.

The areas in question are delimited by the joint ministerial decision under D.A.E.F.K.-K.E./16446/A325/7.10.2021 (B’ 4646), as amended by the joint ministerial decision under D.A.E.F.K.-K.E/oik. 18135/A325/13.10.2021 (B’ 4740) and D.A.E.E.F.K.-K.E./18450/A325 (B’ 4882/21.10.2021) joint ministerial decisions.
