Traffic Police on High Alert – Over 55,000 Cars Have Left Athens Since 6:00 AM

Newsroom March 21 08:36

The holiday weekend from major urban centers has begun ahead of Greece’s national holiday on March 25th.

Traffic on roads, at ports, and at intercity bus stations has been heavy since early Friday morning.

Between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, 23,609 private vehicles passed through the Athens-Lamia toll station, while 32,000 cars traveled along the Athens-Corinth national highway.

Greek Traffic Police have increased safety measures across the country’s road network to ensure smooth and secure travel.

In a video posted on social media, the Traffic Police remind drivers to prioritize road safety and proper trip preparation for a comfortable and, most importantly, safe journey.
