Kalafatis: Research and innovation are key components of growth – “We will work creatively,” says Theodorikakos

The Minister of Development welcomed the new Deputy Minister of Development after his swearing-in ceremony

“I would like to sincerely thank Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for his trust. Research and innovation are fundamental components of growth in the new era. They benefit society, create new jobs, and strengthen the national economy. The message is clear: fewer words, more work, tangible results. That is the path, that is the goal.”

These were the words of the newly appointed Deputy Minister of Development, responsible for Research and Innovation, Stavros Kalafatis, following his swearing-in.

Kalafatis was sworn in today at the Presidential Mansion before the President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tassoulas, and the country’s Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Minister of Development Takis Theodorikakos shared on social media:

“I welcomed my fellow MP from Thessaloniki’s 1st district, Stavros Kalafatis, who has taken on the significant role of Deputy Minister for Research and Innovation. We will work creatively to shape our strategy in research and innovation and integrate it into the productive transformation of the economy. Our goal is to enhance the competitiveness of the economy for the benefit of all Greek citizens.”
