The statue of Alexander the Great stands proudly on the Thessaloniki waterfront and is a historic landmark.

According to ERT, a municipal crew was on site to sanitize and clean the statue as well as the pedestal it stands on, ensuring it remains clean and well-maintained, one of the city’s landmarks.

The bronze statue depicts Alexander the Great riding his horse Bucephalus, a work by sculptor Evangelos Moustakas.
