“There are moral instigators behind my son’s murder, and they can’t hide. The prosecutor names them, so why should they remain untouchable? I finally want equal treatment for everyone”: With just these three sentences, Sakis Lyggeridis, father of murdered police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis, clearly expressed his demand for justice while speaking on SKAI TV.
Following his deeply emotional Facebook post last night, where he, his wife, and their daughter emphasized that “there is more than enough evidence suggesting a powerful figure and a mayor financed a gang of thugs leading to our child’s murder,” he clarified today that moral instigators cannot hide. “The prosecutor names them. Why should they be above the law? Doesn’t justice reach them? Isn’t Greek law valid? Why should they be untouchable? Justice exists, and I demand it everywhere.”
He further stressed that those talking about justice cannot play games for “votes” while being protected by two or three police officers.
