Marinakis to Protothema: Konstantopoulou is a selective activist, not a prosecutor – Tempi as a catalyst for justice

The amendment of Article 86 of the Constitution on ministerial responsibility – Interventions in direct taxation of employees

Newsroom March 29 09:03

Marinakis refers to the Tempi case as a “catalyst for justice” and the request of Christos Triantopoulos to be brought to his rightful judge, in a comprehensive interview on the Direct show with Giorgos Evgenidis.

He accuses the opposition of creating a toxic climate and admits delays in restoring citizens’ sense of security regarding the railways.

He mentions the changes the government will propose regarding Article 86, concerning the responsibility of ministers, stating that citizens, rightfully, cannot understand why a politician should be treated differently from a citizen. He further expresses the opinion that a judicial body could assess a prosecution involving a political figure, without the political parties having the final say.

He launches criticism against Zoë Konstantopoulou, accusing her of being a “selective activist,” referring to a recent incident in which she did not shake hands with the government representative at the Larissa parade. He states that the president of “Plefsi Eleftherias” (Movement for Freedom) went there with her police officer. He also emphasizes that “Plefsi Eleftherias” has no program and adds that Konstantopoulou is neither an investigator nor a prosecutor.

He also talks about government measures to support incomes and announces interventions in the direct taxation of employees, while also addressing those who pay rent. He responds to the criticism that the government faces regarding its handling of crime.
