New posts on the Truth Social platform were made by Donald Trump, who again called for patience from Americans shortly after the markets opened on Monday and urged them not to be“weak and stupid,” even launching a new “party,” the… PANICAN. At the same time, he made it clear that the big goal is to start negotiating with China.
“The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO. Don’t be weak! Don’t be stupid! Don’t be PANICAN (A new party based on Weak and Stupid people!),” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Be strong, courageous, and patient, and the result will be GREAT!” he continued.
Shortly afterwards, in a new post, the US president said he had already begun negotiating with Japan and referred again to his priority, China.
“Countries from all over the world are talking to us. Tough but fair parameters are being set. I spoke with the Japanese prime minister this morning. He is sending a top team to negotiate! They have treated the US very badly on trade. They don’t take our cars, but we take millions of theirs. Likewise, agriculture and many other “things”. Everything must change, but especially with CHINA!!!” the US president wrote.
Trump was writing as markets traded sharply lower in Asia and Europe, and a US futures contract fell. Earlier this morning, Trump defended the U.S. economy and argued that the tariffs would boost revenues.
