The Holy Light arrived in Athens on the afternoon of Holy Saturday on a government aircraft, a few hours after the ceremony for its arrival in Jerusalem.
The aircraft landed at 19.30 at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport and, after a short ceremony there in which clubs and units of the Armed Forces participated, it was transferred to the precinct of the Holy Sepulchre in Plaka.
