A search and rescue operation for a woman near the “Agapitos” shelter on Olympus.
A total of 23 firefighters are operating at the site, with mountaineering teams of the 1st, 2nd, and 8th EMAK, as well as hiking teams of the 2nd EMODE and the Litochoro Fire Service.
At the same time, helicopters of the Fire Brigade and the National Centre for Search and Rescue Coordination (EKSED) are being dispatched to reinforce the forces, in order to facilitate the approach to the rugged mountainous terrain.
