Russia: powerful explosion in a military base area in Vladimir region

The first official update from the Ministry of Defence in Moscow refers to a fire that broke out on a military base

An alarm was sounded today in eastern Russia’s Vladimir Region after a powerful explosion rocked the Kirghiz region, according to TASS news agency and other Russian media outlets.

Regional governor Aleksandr Avdiyev said emergency response crews have rushed to the site of the explosion, without going into further details.

Russian media and Telegram channels affiliated with Russian intelligence agencies report that the explosion occurred at a military hardware storage site near the township of Barsovo.
