LEX announces concert at OAKA, thousands queue online for tickets

Aiming for a new record attendance - The announcement was made via a post on his personal Instagram account

Newsroom April 24 10:02

LEX is gearing up to make history, as he announced a concert to be held in June at OAKA on Thursday afternoon (April 24), and the waiting list for tickets is already massive.

The popular rapper will perform on June 28 in the outdoor area of OAKA, and it’s likely that attendance could surpass 100,000, setting a new record.

LEX made a post on his personal Instagram account, which included the link to purchase tickets.

Huge Wait for a Ticket

It’s clear that his fans have been eagerly awaiting this concert. As soon as it was announced by the artist, the queue for ticket purchases skyrocketed, leading to long wait times.

Specifically, around 6 PM on Thursday, nearly 25,000 people were in line, with the wait expected to exceed an hour.

LEX and the Great Transformation in Greek Rap

Alexis Lanaras, better known as LEX, was born on September 25, 1984, in Thessaloniki but grew up in the Faliro area. He initially started as a street artist and decided to pursue music in 1999.

LEX’s lyrics often touch on social, political, and personal issues. The 41-year-old has a massive devoted following, and his live performances are always chaotic with excitement.

In the summer of 2022, during a concert in Nea Smyrni, nearly 20,000 of his fans showed up at the Pantheon Stadium, with many labeling him as “the LEX phenomenon.” That concert sold out within hours.
