Citizens have the opportunity to apply by tomorrow 30 April 2025 for the pilot program “Social Housing for the most vulnerable groups“, which offers a subsidy of up to €10,055 per apartment.
This program enables 70 owners of closed apartments within the Municipality of Athens to proceed with their renovation, receiving a subsidy of up to 10,055 euros, per apartment, provided that after the completion of the work they make them available to vulnerable families, who are even at risk of homelessness, at low rental prices.
Who the subsidy applies to
The financial aid covers 100% of renovation costs, up to a maximum of €10,055 per property. Interested owners can submit their applications online until 30 April.
The beneficiaries are those who own or have usufruct at least 50% of one or more apartments, which meet the following conditions:
– They have a surface area of between 35 and 120 m² and are located in a residential area.
– They are legally existing and are not classified as demolishable.
– They are declared as vacant on the E2 of the last tax return and are neither used as a primary residence nor rented.
