From the sorrow of the Bucks’ elimination by the Pacers to the joy of welcoming his second daughter, Giannis Antetokounmpo experienced a whirlwind of emotions in just a few days. On Friday morning, he became a father for the fourth time, as his wife Mariah shared the first photo of their new baby girl on Instagram.
Mariah Antetokounmpo also announced their daughter’s name: Aria Capri.
The couple already has three children — two sons, Liam and Maverick, and a daughter, Eva.
This marks the second show of support from Mariah to Giannis during this difficult period, following the Milwaukee Bucks’ third consecutive first-round playoff elimination in the NBA.
Just hours after the dramatic end to the Bucks’ game against the Pacers, Mariah Antetokounmpo posted 19 photos on Instagram featuring herself and their then three children, expressing her pride in the “Greek Freak” by writing the word “μπαμπάς” (“dad” in Greek).
“A message to my husband: Look at the life you created! We love you, dad. You make us proud every single day. Your team,” Mariah wrote in the caption, adding a yellow heart emoji.
