Findings of policies already implemented to date to address all forms of violence, along with specific recommendations and a set of actions and interventions in new policy areas, will form the basis of the National Strategy for tackling juvenile violence. This strategy will be presented to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis by the special task force formed for this purpose, led by Ms. Artinopoulou.
It is worth noting that, according to this scientific committee, the government has already implemented 138 policies addressing various forms of violence, and today 29 new measures will be announced.
The Minister of State, speaking to ERTNews, emphasized that “the most emblematic of these measures, which will be delivered today, is the Kids Wallet — a digital vault that allows parents to exercise parental controls for children who have mobile phones.” He added, “the government’s ambition is to establish the ‘year of digital adulthood,’ setting 15 as the threshold age at which a teenager can begin making certain choices independently.”
Additionally, Mr. Skertsos noted that “Greece has raised the issue of digital addiction at a global level.”
