The Athens Prosecutor’s Office has filed a misdemeanor prosecution for child endangerment against the grandmother of the infant found next to a garbage bin in Alimos.

After the prosecution, the infant’s grandmother was referred to the Court of Athens.

Meanwhile, the nanny of the 6-month-old baby who was found yesterday afternoon in garbage bins in Alimos to have been a victim of infant trafficking are being examined by the police, as testimonies from the area of Omonia speak of a “strange” transaction between the grandmother and the man who grabbed the child.
