GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
A change in weather is expected in the west, central, and northern regions, gradually affecting the entire country, with rain and scattered thunderstorms. Phenomena will be locally severe in Central Greece, Thessaly, and northern Evia from early afternoon through evening, in Central Macedonia from early afternoon until late night, and in the Sporades during evening-night hours. In the rest of the country, temporarily increased cloud cover with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. Weather improvement is expected in the west by the evening. Weather conditions favor the transport of African dust, mainly in the eastern and southern parts. Winds in the west and north will be northerly-northwesterly at 4 to 6 Beaufort, and in the Ionian 7, temporarily up to 8 Beaufort. Elsewhere, winds will be from southern directions at 4 to 5 Beaufort, and locally 6 to 7 in the Aegean. Temperature will drop, especially in the west, central, and north. It will reach 24–25°C in the north (locally 26°C in the east), 25–27°C in the west, 27–28°C in the central regions, 26–28°C in the eastern islands, 29–30°C locally in the south, and 30–32°C in Crete, locally up to 33°C.
MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: In Macedonia, increased cloud cover with rain and scattered thunderstorms—locally severe in Central Macedonia from early afternoon until late night. In Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, clouds will increase from late morning, bringing local rain and isolated storms, which will intensify from early evening.
Winds: Northerly at 4–5 Beaufort, locally 6 in the western coastal zones. In the east, turning to east-northeasterly from noon at 3–5 Beaufort.
Temperature: 14–24/25°C, locally 26°C in the east. In Western Macedonia, 2–3°C lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN CENTRAL GREECE, WESTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Initially in northern Ionian and Epirus, gradually from late morning in other areas, clouds will increase with local showers and scattered thunderstorms. In Western Central Greece, phenomena will be locally severe from early afternoon until early evening. Gradual improvement in the evening.
Winds: Northerly-northwesterly at 4–6, Ionian at 7, locally up to 8 Beaufort.
Temperature: 15–26/27°C. 3–4°C lower inland in Epirus.
EASTERN CENTRAL GREECE, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Few clouds, increasing from late morning with local showers and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Winds: Initially variable at 3–4, gradually turning east up to 5 Beaufort, shifting to north in the evening with similar strength.
Temperature: 15–26/27°C, locally up to 28°C.
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Temporarily increased cloudiness with local showers and scattered thunderstorms.
Winds: Southerly at 4–6, locally up to 7 Beaufort in northern Crete.
Temperature: 19–28/29°C, in Crete 30–32°C, locally 33°C.
EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANESE
Weather: Few clouds, increasing from late morning with local showers and scattered thunderstorms—initially in the eastern Aegean islands and from afternoon in the Dodecanese. Phenomena will be locally severe in the northeastern Aegean from early evening.
Winds: Southerly at 4–6, in northeastern Aegean east-northeasterly at 4–5 Beaufort.
Temperature: 19–28°C, locally 29–30°C in the south. In the north, 3–4°C lower.
THESSALY
Weather: Temporarily increased clouds with local showers and scattered thunderstorms from late morning. Phenomena will gradually intensify and become locally severe in Thessaly from early afternoon through evening and in the Sporades at night.
Winds: North-northwesterly 4–5, Sporades 5–6, temporarily up to 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: 15–26/27°C.
ATTICA
Weather: Initially mostly clear with few clouds, increasing from late morning with local showers and isolated thunderstorms from the afternoon.
Winds: Variable at 3–4, gradually east-northeasterly up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: 16–27/28°C.
THESSALONIKI
Weather: Temporarily increased clouds with local showers and possibly isolated storms early in the morning, mainly in mountainous areas. A gradual weather deterioration is expected from midday with rain and scattered thunderstorms. Phenomena will become locally severe from early afternoon. Improvement is expected late at night.
Winds: North-northwesterly 4–5, temporarily 6 Beaufort at sea.
Temperature: 14–21/22°C.

In Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and the eastern Aegean islands, rain and scattered thunderstorms until noon, with rapid improvement. Elsewhere, generally fair weather with temporarily increased clouds and light rain during the morning and midday in eastern mainland, Cyclades, and Crete.
Winds: Westerly-northwesterly 4–6, temporarily 7 Beaufort in the Ionian in the morning and in the southeast Aegean in the afternoon.
Temperature: Will drop across the country. Maximums: 24–26°C west, 22–25°C central and north, 24–26°C southeast islands and Crete.
