Sailing begins this weekend at the European Optimist World Championship in Turkey

Greece will participate with 7 male and female athletes in the competition in Çeşme

The grand showdown of European sailing kicks off this Friday in Çeşme, Turkey, and the Greek team is ready for an outstanding performance. With 7 sailors competing, our Greek sailors have their eyes on the prize, and their passion is shouting victory!

A total of 258 talented athletes from 43 countries will give their all in a fierce contest of speed and skill. The Greek delegation has been on site for days in Çeşme, with top-level preparation, eager to make Greece proud.

In recent years, Greek sailing has proven it possesses the talent and heart for great moments. Optimism for another success is widespread, and everyone believes that our Greek champions will be fierce and determined.

Our athletes competing in Turkey are Paraskevas Kolokotronis, Christos Agis Angelopoulos, Alexandros Pallis, Georgios Mandilas, Eleni Triantou, Vasilia Zoubourli, and Daphne Bougiouri. All are ready to fight with passion and fire for the Greek colors!
