From today it looks like the unsettled weather conditions will subside and from the beginning of the new week the main feature of the weather will be a gradual rise in temperature. The heat will intensify significantly from Wednesday 4 June onwards, with temperatures reaching 32 to 35 degrees on the mainland.

Volatility subsides Sunday, temperatures rise next week

At the same time, according to meteorologist Thodoros Kolydas, the instability on Sunday will subside and a gradual temperature rise is expected towards the middle of next week at around 4-5 degrees above average.

Crete and Boeotia saw the most significant rains on Saturday

The most significant rainfall during Saturday (31/5) occurred in Crete and the prefecture of Boiotia, according to the network of automatic weather stations of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr. The highest daily rainfall up to 18:00 was recorded in Metaxochori Heraklion and amounted to 87 mm.
