Alex Soros, son of billionaire philanthropist George Soros, married Huma Abedin, former top aide to Hillary Clinton, on Saturday, June 14, at the Soros family’s luxurious estate in Water Mill, Southampton. While the couple originally planned a private ceremony, Hillary Clinton persuaded them to host a grand event attended by some of the most powerful figures in politics and entertainment.
Among the high-profile guests were U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff, former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Anna Wintour, Eric Schmidt, and of course, the entire Clinton family. The evening featured a live performance by Boyz II Men, while the gourmet menu included truffle agnolotti, chilled pea soup, Wagyu bavette, and grilled shrimp.
The bride stunned in two couture gowns: a lace Givenchy dress by Sarah Burton and a romantic embroidered tulle gown by Erdem Moralıoğlu. Vogue published exclusive photos of her wedding dress fitting, while Alex Soros honored his father with a touching Father’s Day post.

The couple announced their engagement in July 2024 with a joint Instagram post. Alex proposed in New York City before celebrating with an engagement party in Italy. In 2023, Alex took over leadership of the Open Society Foundations and remains deeply involved in supporting liberal political causes.
Huma Abedin, mother of a 13-year-old son from her previous marriage to former Congressman Anthony Weiner, has been one of the most influential women behind the scenes of U.S. politics, standing beside Hillary Clinton for over 25 years.
