As decided at the Conference of Presidents meeting, the meeting will last 12 hours so that the secret ballot can begin at 21:00

Newsroom June 16 01:36

On Wednesday, 18 June, the plenary session of Parliament will debate the three proposals for the establishment of a preliminary investigation committee tabled by ND, PASOK, and the “alliance” of Plevsi Eleftherias, Hellenic Solution, Niki, and the Democracy Movement.

According to the final decisions taken by a majority of the members of the Conference of Presidents of the Parliament, the debate will start at 9 am with the aim of finishing at 9 pm, and then the secret ballot will be held.

It will be recalled that the 3 proposals concern a total of 14 different political persons and 10 offences.

For the vote, 14 ballot boxes will be set up, one for each person proposed for impeachment, and a total of 4,200 ballots will be printed. Each MP will receive 14 different ballots corresponding to separate persons and directed to a different ballot box.

The MPs will choose on the ballot paper with the number “1” the proposal of ND, PASOK, the “4” alliance, or all 3 that they consider to contain the most sound reasoning and offences.
