Three fires burning in Chios as of early afternoon Sunday (June 22).

Strong fire brigade forces have been rushed to the island and are being constantly reinforced, however, the strong winds blowing in the area are making their work difficult.

Fire in Rhodes

Fire broke out on Sunday afternoon (22/6) in an agroforestry area in the Theologos area of Rhodes as well.

To extinguish the fire, 33 firefighters with 8 vehicles, 2 teams of hikers of the 11th EMODE and 3 aircraft were mobilized. Water trucks of OTAs are also providing assistance.
