The starting ceremony of the EKO Rally Acropolis 2025 will bring changes to traffic today, Thursday, 26 June, with closed roads and parking bans in the centre of Athens.

The start will take place at the Panathinaikos Stadium Square, while the Highland Route will take place at the Zappeion area.

The Zafira Square will be located within the Zafira Park, while the Zafira Stadium will also be situated within the Zafira Park.

Starting at 11:00 a.m., traffic will be phased out completely on:

-Vass, Constantine Avenue

-Vass. Olga Avenue

-Ardittos Street

All verticals of the above streets up to the first parallel street.

The NPS is urging drivers to avoid the area during the hours of the road closures, follow traffic signals, and plan alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.

Significant problems with traffic on the roads have been seen since early morning on Thursday, 26 June.

As expected, the most serious traffic problem is located on Kifissos Avenu,e which has been in “red” since early morning.

According to an update from the traffic police, traffic is backed up on the following roads:

-Vasilissis Sofias (descent),

-Vehicles are moving at relatively low speeds on the main axes leading to and from the centre of Athens. There are delays on Kifissia and Mesogeion. There is also increased traffic on Karea Avenue.

Delays also exist on Attiki Odos

According to the company, there are delays on the road to the airport:

15′ – 20′ from Metamorfosias to Kifissia

5΄-10΄at the exit to Lamia

5 – 5 km to Lamia – 5 – 5 km to Lamia
Delays 10΄-15΄at the exit to Lamia on the stream to Elefsina
– 10-10 minutes to 10 minutes to the exit to Elenina, towards Elefina
