A 19-year-old man who provided accommodation to illegal immigrants was arrested yesterday by the police, in the area of Sykies, in Thessaloniki.
After a coordinated police operation, which took place yesterday afternoon in the area of Sykies, it was found that the 19-year-old man was providing accommodation to three foreigners, who did not have travel documents.
As it emerged from the police investigation, the immigrants illegally entered Greece by paying the sum of 3,000 dollars to a circuit located in Turkey, while their final destination was Athens.
A case file has been formed against the 19-year-old for the offence of facilitating the entry of third-country nationals into the country, obligations of carriers, private individuals and employees, and he is expected to be brought before the prosecutor.
