A disturbance occurred in the courtroom of the Court of Cassation when the Criminal Division announced the rejection of a Turkish fugitive’s request not to be extradited to his home country. In response, the man slightly injured his neck with a small sharp object.

Police officers and the Court Police immediately rushed to the scene and removed the sharp metal object from him.

EKAB was called, and a small abrasion on the neck was found. First aid was administered, and he has already been transferred back to the prison where he was held.

Presiding over the session was Deputy Prosecutor Vasilis Floridis, who appeared solely for the announcement of the decision.
