An operation is underway to recover a suspicious envelope found outside the Greek parliament.
Already 12 firefighters with 4 vehicles and the special team of the 1st EMAC are on the spot to check the envelope.
According to reports, a precautionary inspection revealed that the envelope contained white powder, prompting a strong response from the Hellenic Police (ELAS) and the fire department. Although the exact type of powder has not been identified, there are even suspicions that it could be anthrax. The envelope appears to have originated from abroad and is addressed to a political figure.

Currently, 12 firefighters are on site with 4 vehicles and the special unit of the 1st EMAK (Disaster Response Unit) to examine the envelope.
For this purpose, EMAK was called in, with its members wearing protective suits. An EKAV (National Emergency Aid Center) ambulance is also present at the scene.
