Brooklyn Beckham faced a wave of negative comments after sharing what many called a “disgusting” cooking tip: he prepared pasta aboard a luxury yacht using seawater.
Beckham stunned his online followers when he posted a video on Instagram on Monday, July 21, in which he shared a recipe for pasta with tomato sauce — but boiled the pasta using seawater. In the video, he begins the cooking process by dunking a pot directly into the ocean, then proceeds to show how he makes the sauce.

Many were quick to criticize his use of seawater. Despite the pasta looking quite good visually, his followers didn’t hide their disapproval of the unusual tip.
Some strongly objected to the fact that the water came from the sea — which many viewed as potentially polluted. One person wrote, “Did he just make pasta with pool water?” while another commented, “When you’re on your fourth trip to the bathroom in 30 minutes, you’ll realize that wasn’t the smartest water source to use.” Another follower added, “Cooking pasta with seawater — where boats dump fuel and there’s E. coli — probably isn’t the best move. It’s gross to use that water.”
Still, there were a few who praised his cooking efforts, with one writing, “Nice work! I see you’re even cooking on a yacht. Well done!” and another chiming in, “I love your cooking tips, Brooklyn. Kisses!”
