Panhellenic Exams 2025: Results Announced – The Wait Is Over for Candidates

The results of the 2025 Panhellenic university entrance exams have been released, bringing an end to the long wait for thousands of students across Greece.

One day earlier than expected, candidates were informed of the university department they have been accepted into. Many received an SMS notifying them of their successful admission into a Greek university.

A total of 88,637 candidates competed for 68,788 places in universities and higher education institutions for the academic year 2025–2026.

Candidates can check their results on the Ministry of Education’s official platform https://results.it.minedu.gov.gr by entering:

  • their 8-digit candidate code, and
  • the first four letters of their surname, first name, father’s name, and mother’s name.

Those who registered through the Ministry’s dedicated platform via gov.gr also received their results via SMS on their mobile phones.

Who the Selection Process Applies To

The selection procedures concern graduates who participated in the 2025 Panhellenic exams, including:

  • Day General High School (GEL) graduates, for admission to universities, higher ecclesiastical academies, ASPAITE, higher tourism education institutions, military and police academies, and fire, naval, and coast guard academies.
  • Day Vocational High School (EPAL) graduates, for similar institutions including non-commissioned military academies and police/fire/cadet schools.
  • Evening GEL and EPAL graduates for applicable institutions.

Candidates from Previous Years

The selection process also includes candidates who took the exams in 2023 or 2024 and are applying without re-examination in 2025, under the same criteria as current-year graduates.

Additional Information Provided

Published data includes:

  • the highest and lowest scores admitted to each department or school by category;
  • comparative data between 2024 and 2025 admission thresholds for eligible categories;
  • preference statistics from candidates and successful entrants in the 2025 exams.

Simultaneously, results have been electronically sent to all Secondary Education Directorates to be forwarded to individual high schools. Each school will print and post the list of successful candidates, which will only include the candidate code and admission details—not full names.
