In Evritania, the fire that broke out late Friday afternoon in Domnista remains active, but does not threaten a settlement. 45 firefighters with two teams of hikers of the 4th EMODE and 12 vehicles are operating on the front. By sundown, water drops were being made by two aircraft and a helicopter, although limited due to the late hour.
The rugged terrain makes it necessary to continue aerial drops into Saturday morning. Water trucks of the local authorities are also participating in the operation, reinforcing the effort of the firefighters.
