Record-breaking temperature in Turkey – 50.5 degrees celsius recorded in Silopi

A temperature of 50.5 degrees Celsius was recorded on Friday in southeastern Turkey, a record for the country, authorities said today.

According to the data of the General Directorate of Meteorology, it broke the record high temperature with 50.5°C in Silopi on July 25,” the environment ministry said in a post on the X platform.
