Fire in Filiates, Thesprotia – 4 aircraft deployed, 112 Alert message sent for readiness

A wildfire broke out on Monday afternoon in the region of Thesprotia.

Specifically, the fire is burning low vegetation in the area of Smertos, in the municipality of Filiates.

To extinguish the fire, 28 firefighters have been mobilized, along with one ground team, 9 vehicles, and 4 aircraft.

A 112 emergency alert message was sent to residents, stating:
“Remain on alert and follow the instructions of the authorities.”
