Fire in Filiates, Thesprotia – 4 aircraft deployed, 112 Alert message sent for readiness

28 firefighters with a team of hikers, 9 vehicles and 4 aircraft were mobilized to extinguish the fire.

A wildfire broke out on Monday afternoon in the region of Thesprotia.

Specifically, the fire is burning low vegetation in the area of Smertos, in the municipality of Filiates.

To extinguish the fire, 28 firefighters have been mobilized, along with one ground team, 9 vehicles, and 4 aircraft.

#Wildfire in low vegetation in the area of Smertos, Municipality of Filiates, Thesprotia. 28 firefighters deployed with 1 ground team from the 5th Special Forest Operations Unit (EMODE), 9 vehicles, and 4 aircraft. Assistance also provided by local authority water tankers.
